K.R. Narayanan Foundation General Secretary Sri. Eby J. Jose has written a biography of the late president under the title - ' K.R. Narayanan Bharathathinte Suryathejassu '. It is written in Malayalam, in the mother tongue of Dr. K.R. Narayanan. This book traces the not-so-rosy paths through which this great man had to travel.About his life and its message K. R. Narayanan said :

Sometimes I visualise it as a journey of an individual from a remote village on the sidelines of society to the hub of social standing.
